Cam did things last year which had never been done before by a rookie QB. I don't take any shame by the fact that I believed he had a bright future in this league at the time.

He still might. Just as insisting Luck couldn't match him was misguided, so is throwing him in the trash bin to draft another QB.

And Vick might also turn around. Do you actually believe that he will, is the question.

Vicks like 10 years older than Cam, you know that's a shit comparison.

Not really. Vick looked like he was on the cusp of greatness on a couple of occassions.

I believe that I was 100% correct about him all along, as I almost always am about quarterbacks. He's a very talented but also very flawed guy. Here:

I see that you've pointed out his strengths and weaknesses, and I applaud you as such. I'm asking you to put your dick on the chopping block. Do you predict he will be the starter for a winning football team 5 years from now?

He can be, sure, but he won't carry a team to that winning record. Cam Newton is not a transcendent player who can make a team win through sheer talent/skill/force of will. It wouldn't be crazy to describe him as Jake Delhomme plus quite a bit of talent and minus absolutely all of Jake's charisma. Just as I'm sure the Fox lovers will romanticize his tenure in light of his victory today, the Jake lovers continue to overlook all the many awful games he had even before his last two seasons with the Panthers. Cam is going to do the same act where he'll look great one week and awful the next. Right now the important thing is to make him work on his flaws during the off-season and put him in a position where you're not depending on him to carry the team's offense.

    edit:
Also worth reiterating yet again that quarterbacks peak later than any non-special teams position. Cam won't be playing his best football for another four or five seasons.

He "can be" the mayor of Cleveland. This is a non-commital answer. Since you are the self-appointed QB guru, I'm looking for a yes or no answer to this question.
