There's no way we finish worse than Jacksonville or Kansas City.

God damn, no. Absolutely no room for another LB.

Kuechly is a fucking beast at MLB. It's going to be fun to see how we sort that shit out. He's already better there than Beason, and Beason is shitty outside.

We better hire a good god damn GM who can find a way around this.

The problem with a 3-4 is that it would leave Anderson and/or Davis out of place. In theory, I think Anderson could be an OLB in that alignment, but it's not a great fit. And then you'll have to decide what to do with Charles Johnson, Alexander, Hardy and others who are natural 4-3 ends.

The elephant in the room, IMHFO, is that Beason was terrible before he got hurt. It's hard to imagine him ever getting back to where he was before 2011.

Didn't we pretty much expect that given the track record of guys with Achilles ruptures? That said, it's entirely possible that he'll look better next season with another year of healing. He won't ever be what he was, but Beason might end up being a serviceable player. I certainly hope so given that he signed that huge contract just months before his tendon exploded. And I agree about the 3-4. It just doesn't fit the rest of the personnel, as much as I try to rationalize a way to make it work.

And to answer the original post, no, absolutely not. There is no RG3 or Luck in this draft (although lol at the people who busted my balls last year for saying that Luck would be better than Cam). Landry Jones is garbage and Barkley's best case appears to be an above average but far from elite starter. Safari-lion would be the best quarterback in 2013 if he had stayed at Auburn for another two seasons.

I think this was exactly the sort of response I was looking for when I posed the question. Thanks.

So I take it you are not impressed with Geno Smith either?

Geno is a better passer than Cam but doesn't have his other attributes.
