    I don't know who is worse between the Bucs and Panthers, but Tampa Bay kept its cap room and thus was able to convince a coach to come in by having the ability to then sign Vincent Jackson, Carl Nicks, and Eric Wright to big money contracts. Any coach looking at Carolina has to either be willing to sign no one and hope to make this roster better, or else sacrifice a year by gutting the roster and eating a bunch of dead money to then create future space.

    What are the odds that we get any worse? It's not all Rivera's, I get that. It's mostly on Hurney. But if Hurney goes, Rivera has to go too.

    Fine, but I could see it getting worse. For all that people are bitching about Chud now, I could see the offense becoming truly inept if you try to make Cam into a traditional drop-back passer. Not Clausen-bad, but midway between that and current performance.

    Anyway, yeah, it's bigger than Rivera. It's from the top down, starting with our rustic ass owner who refuses to hire a real GM.
