Mike Tolbert is not a good lead blocker by any stretch of the imagination, and DeAngelo doesn't work very well in an I anyway. Plus, who do the Panthers have up front that can move anyone? Kalil is a great technique guy but gets his lunch eaten against any powerful NT, Gross is finesse, the rook isn't anything special so far, and the team has no TEs who can block worth a shit. It's like some of you expect the team to be an old-school power I running team just because the running backs cost so much money. Newsflash, most of their rushing success last season came out of 3+ wideout sets.

I doubt it. We'll scrape up a few mediocre wins, finish somewhere around 5-11, which will be enough to keep Rivera and Hurney while tricking ourselves into believing this shit is actually working.

I criticized Chud's play calling last year. But only on a few occasions, this year is worse squared. The whole philosophy is off. Slow developing trickster shit seems to be his calling card.

Are we talking 4th quarter? Final possession? There is no way he never led this team to a comeback.

That's exactly how I feel. I hate that I've reached that point as a fan, but I see no other way out of this misery.

But the team will probably win some games, and I'll be doing my John Elway fake golf clap.

Actually, it was...it told the whole story. His look, in that 1.79 second frame, said 'WHAT THE FUCK?'. Fox played it a couple of times - almost as gold as when the Fox cameras focused on Chaz Johnston coming off the field holding his jimmy for 20+ seconds.
