How much can McDermott be blamed for poor tackling?I'm seeing steady improvement on D.

 

Let's not be delusional about the defense either. It was a much better tackling game, but we were awful on 3rd down, which included giving up that 3rd & 8 run that basically ended the game.

 

This is complete horseshit. When Chud actually decided to run a pro offense and put Cam under center we went down the field to the one yard line. Then we revert back to cute shit on 4th down and cock it up.

Dont tell me our great playcall was to find Hartsock open in the endzone.

Weve spent a fortune on our backfield and arent using it correctly. Its a fucking joke. We spend all day running delayed read option where everthing is dictated by what the D are doing. We need to get back to imposing our will on others and running with some authority. I formation, playaction pass so Smitty can get open and quit playing WWE out there.

Were putting too much on Cam right now, thats the problem. Let the runners fucking run and let Cam use his feet when shit breaks down in the passing game. Every QB looks better when defenses are off balance and right now we have none.

Except the play WORKED and Mr. Swagman choked. I'm pretty sure Chud didn't tell Cam to throw it at the fucking ground in front of a wide open receiver.

 

Seems like we definately had a plan for Lynch. Did a nice job containing him with the aid of a few penalties. But we still couldnt stop him when it mattered most thanks to more sloppy tackling (I think CJ had him for a loss but let him go).

We still made Wilson look like a pro bowler out there other than Munnerlyns pick.

And as bad as the tackling has been its the O that has let this team down the most IMO so far this season.

Inept against Tampa, Giants and now Seattle. Had the chance to put ATL away and cocked that up too.

Its amazing that Murphys unit is the one starting to show some stability.
