yeah, and again I do believe in the Falcons being a pretty strong team, Giants too (not an excuse for being really shitty that game). Tampa should've been won and that's not good enough, either. They don't give out Lombardis for excuses, but this team can be pretty solid. It doesn't have elite talent, no.

yeah, that's a problem. I don't mind some of what they've done, but Norman's a good player who should currently still be a backup. Not because of talent, but because he's inconsistent. DT has been a consistent issue since the middle of the last decade.

Brockers would've been a pretty strong reach, and I wasn't sold on Gilmore or Cox rising so fast so late. The more interesting bit is Barron, who at the last second was rumored to be what we would've taken over Kuechly. Neither player is good value, but both obviously would bring something Carolina was missing. I guess it depends on what you consider an impact player, and right before the draft I was OK with an OL or DB because those players give you the most snaps. But I was really not expecting a SS or LB there, and that's their top 2, just how it fell.

yeah, that part kinda fucking sucks.

As for Beason, I don't think they were considering him from a "let's evaluate you coming back from one slow injury while you have two others". I'd legitimately have called him one of the best ILB in the league before he got hurt, sure. Hopefully, he will be again, or close.

it's good that Hurney is apparently year to year (I have yet to hear any interview), but I remain unconvinced it would matter that much. I'd like it if it did, obviously.

Well, Atlanta for instance, paid a very high price to draft Julio. High price. But they got a player.

Hurney pays a not as high but still high price: Otah, gone. Everette Brown, gone. Well, at least we still have Armanti. And let's not forget, he tried to trade up for Clausen. The pick we used on Cam.

I want his head on a pike. Or at least a photoshop of it.

I tried to tell people that was a good move for them. I'm just happy they didn't end up with Adrian Peterson in 2007. They were one pick away and I remember being utterly terrified when he dropped to #7.

This asshole should have been gone years ago!!! But wait- maybe if we give away our next couple of first round picks that will turn things around. Hope him and McDickhead are gone by Sunday.
