Atlanta Braves Thread

20 runs in the last 8 games - 11 of those were in one game. Brutal.

 

Braves have won the past 20 games started by Kris Medlen, the longest streak since 20 straight by Roger Clemens in 2001.
Its also tied for the 4th-longest in the Live Ball Era.

Shit, the Bravos are winning with smoke and mirrors. I don`t think I`ve ever seen a more odd collection of wins as I`ve seen from the Braves in the last 30 days.
Wild pitches, walks and yesterday a hit jersey. Still I guess a win is a win is a win.

 

The remainder of Atlanta's schedule is soft compared to that of the Nats. Taint over til it's over.

 

I can barely stand to watch a game that Hanson pitches. That delivery has got to go. Dude hasn`t made it out of the 6th inning in his last 6 starts.

 

He's lost some velocity on his FB and has trouble keeping it down in the zone. He also hangs his curve. And yes the pause at the top of his delivery makes it easy to steal second base. Other than those four things he's pretty good.

 

Into the playoffs.

 

Kimbrell strikes out 4 in an inning. I`ve heard of happening before but the first time I`ve seen it realtime.

 

Baseball is fucked up. You play ball for half the year, then it comes down to a one game play-off. Jesus Christ at least do two out of three. If the Yanks end up playing in this stupid game and lose, MLB will be scrambling to fix it.

 

Good Luck Bravos. Hate the one game play in format. Would prefer it being at least a best of 3 if not 5
