    I don't know. Goodell is a lawyer, too. I think what little support Goodell had after the NFLPA labor fiasco is quickly eroding away. His term as commissioner is marked by more missteps than the previous two combined. What little good he has done is being overshadowed by his mismanagement.

    The part about officials wanting a better pension than even full-time NFL employees get is a pretty strong argument.

    I've been on the fence about this. The league, as usual, are being greedy fucks. Full-time, part-time, whatever you want to call them, being an NFL official is actually pretty hazerdous work. I personally think they're inclined to seek higher pay and pension.

    The replacement refs are incompetent, but both teams have to deal with it. So I'm not worried about this having a serious influence on the outcome of games.

    I also think it's funny that people forget how bad many of the regular refs were. A lot of those guys made the same mistakes the scabs are getting killed for.
