I`m getting a little tired of hearing the tv folks talking about the refs. We get it, these are replacements.

I was shocked there weren't more holding calls. I know CJ should've done more, but when his front number is on the side of his jersey and his helmet is about to fall off on every snap, he's fucking being held.

Felt like a practice game, for the most part. Or at least it seemed that way for Cam Newton. Still very vanilla game-planning despite the reverse.

Murphy is the #3, though I like what Pilares brings in the slot.

Josh Norman plays with attitude. Like it.

No Armanti. Panthers have moved on.

Medlock not getting it done on kickoffs. Mare-haters need to chill.

Keuckly has Derrick Brooks instincts. Would love to see him get it done behind the LOS, though.

Thomas Davis looked good, and quick/fast. The third knee surgery was done like a Tommy John and not a repair, so I have hopes he'll make it all the way back.

O-line not forcing open running lanes this game. That Kelly(?) DT for the Jets was disruptive. We need that here.

DW is a fumble waiting to happen.

I'm pretty much skipping the Steelers scrimmage.

I don't think anyone expected pass coverage to be good this season, so that sucking during the preseason is not too upsetting, but the complete lack of a pass rush is very worrisome. Meanwhile the run defense steps up nicely in short yardage but is still a liability in base packages. I hope they have some creative blitz packages regular season because the very highly paid defense looks like it's going to continue struggling.

I love watching Clausen perform preseason mop-up duty.

And now that Mare's been cut, I get to eat some crow. Still don't think Medlock is the answer.

Think of it like a mafia hit. When you can't trust a guy anymore, he has to go. Medlock may or may not be the answer, but we already know Mare isn't.

As for the kickoff thing, the Colts led the NFL in touchback % in 2011 and finished 2-14. It's not that important.

If they still can't cover after all the special teams guys they signed this off-season, then that's a problem.

Yep. But if the defense sucks ass again, won't matter if they start at midfield or the ten.
