Shame about the fumble. We did a good job of actually converting 1st and forever and Tolbert seeks out the defender to punish. I love the attitude and all but damn, he led with the shoulder carrying the ball. Sometimes you just have to play smart. Thats the good thing about Cam, he knows when to cut his loses and move onto another play.

Still, gonna love watching this guy play in Carolina.

Im actually encouraged by the fact that our offense isnt completely shitty when he gets in there. He can actually move the damn team. Unlike when Clausen gets in there and everything just turns to shit, playcalling and all.

Clausen did throw a few nice balls the first drive he was in there in fairness. Seems to have an affinity for Armanti which is kinda funny.

Cam looked good. Wonder if the idea not to run was his or coaching. I loved that roll out throw he did, nice footwork. Other than the one screen pass he was dead on. Still a few drops. Nice to have a real QB in place for a change.

Another thing about Cam. Dude would strike up a conversation with a fence post if he could. Kind of hard not to like the young man.

there were conflicting reports on his weight, from 250 to 270. He probably bulked up a little in the offseason. Let's see him show some repeatability before we get excited but it was nice to see.

McClain was active a couple of times, had a couple plays that looked athletic for his size. Officially only one assist.

83 either can't run a route for shit, or almost everytime he's thrown to, no matter who throws it, he's never where the ball is thrown- or just close enough not to catch it. he had a decent end around run, but I can't remember him actually catching much of anything, though being thrown to quite a lot.

Murphy leads the team in receiving yards this preseason.
