it might be a wing players league, but there are TONS of wing players. it's easier to get one than it is to get a quality pg or big man.

getting brand off of waivers might be a good move. it'd only be a year, so you retain flexibility. he'd be a good locker room model. he'd be playing for a contract. he provides something the bobcats lack (aside from mere talent).

the only drawback would be that he'd make the team better and they'd risk moving down in the lotto standings...

I would risk hurting our lottery position and go ahead and sign guys like Brand and or Jamison. Wing players and point guards need a big man who can score so they can learn how to get the ball inside and run conventional plays. I am afraid that a team that gets all its offense from wing players will stunt the development of the point guards and to a lesser extent the wing players themselves.

Point guards facilitate the wings unless their wings like LBJ or Wade. I kind of wish we had held onto Felton. He is a pass first PG that can get up and down the floor which it seems like the Bobcats new mode of playing

Jamison down to to two teams. Bobcats and Golden State. Bobcats are where his kids are and Golden State not much closer to a championship team. Yeah their better but have no chance in hell of winning a title in Jamison's playing career.

The Charlotte Bobcats and Golden State Warriors are the two teams being linked to veteran free agent Antawn Jamison, according to separate tweets (here and here) by Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports.

Even though Jamison would probably like to play the rest of his career on a contender, we have to believe the opportunity to play in his hometown of Charlotte in a starting role could be too much to pass up.

It's always been a dream of mine -- to be home," Jamisontold the Charlotte Observer back in January of the chance to play with the Bobcats. "To have my parents there (at home games), to have my kids there. Having the kids come to the games with me all the time? That would be great."

Jamison would back up David Lee if he were to sign with the Warriors, a team he last played for in the 2002-03 season. Golden State's general manager Bob Myers is Jamison's former agent, so the link to the Warriors makes some sense.

A decision could come shortly for the 14-year veteran.

I have thought that as well. Felton was a decent if not great point guard. We have used first round picks on Augustin and then Walker at the point and not gotten any better than we were when Felton was here. If they had just kept Felton those picks could have gone to other areas of need.

Antawn Jamison: Interest in Charlotte Bobcats is 'definite' | CharlotteObserver.com & The Charlotte Observer Newspaper

seems like he's trying to figure out if he wants to go for a ring or play at home.

Meh, it`d be nice to have a proven commodity like AJ, but he`d still just be a small piece of the puzzle. Even if he`d only give 17-22 minutes a game, I`d sort of like to think he`d be a good mentor to MKG.

He'd be a step in the right direction for a couple of years. And no he wouldn't get us out of the lottery
