Thinking about what the Bobcats currently have helps make more sense of what moves they might make.

At point guard they have DJ and Kemba. At Shooting Guard they have Henderson and Gordon. Those guys are not world beaters but are significantly better than the dearth of talent we have inside.

At the 3 we have Brown and little else.

At the 4 we have Thomas, White Bismack. Thomas will likely not be on our roster when the season starts. Bismack might play the 5 so there really is not much here.

At the 5 we have Mullens, Diop and maybe Bismack. Mullens was a nice surprise but he is probably better suited to come off the bench. Diop is a guy who not only won the lottery but got a bunch of front row seats to NBA games in the process. Help here would be great.

They should still take the best player available but IMHO the need is much greater along the front court.

Thomas, Diop, Williams, Moon should all be worked off the team.
Matt Carroll isn`t even showing up on the roster, what happen to him?
Looks like 5 teams are talking to the Cats about the #2. I hope thats as promising as it sounds.

I honestly don't under the 1 and 2 situation now that I think about it. Not really sure who the starters are here. Very 4 small players with Henderson the only one of any size.

The 3 situation is what it is. Needs some help here.

The 4 and 5 have only Biz and Mullens to speak of, the rest is crap.

This team needs a lot of help, I am not sure how they can possibly fill the roster, they have only 6 or 7 players that should be in the NBA on somebody else's bench.

A solid big man would make a world of difference. They have no one who can score in the post. I do not care how good your perimeter guys are, if the defense is not worried about the big men scoring, then they are going to struggle to get good shots.

There are zero long-term starters on the team, so forget the roster situation entirely and just take the best available prospects.

this really is, essentially, a reboot. one would hope they are considering last year's two top 10 picks to be part of the future of the franchise, but who knows...

It is that, but what's sad is they may win even less games this coming year, well worse percentage. I think today we will get a lot of answers, but really there is going to be a lot of pressure on our first pick.

I hope Dunlap makes a difference, but he is an unknown and I don't know how to put a value on what we expect him to do without talent as a coach.

I sit here and think about the trade for Gordon and I know it was more about getting the extra pick down the road, but who starts at SG? I really thought Henderson being at least one starter we could pencil in, which may be the case and Gordon is more of the sub or running a very small 3G lineup?

Anyways, hope we get players that want to win, play hard and produce in this draft. It doesn't have to be wins this coming year, but it's gotta be a step in the right direction and a team that gives it's all the entire year, right?

I think Henderson will get a lot of minutes at SF, especially given the stated intention to play an up-tempo style. I also imagine that played a role in choosing Dunlap, since a bad team is easier to watch when they're running and playing at high energy than when they're plodding and relying on a half-court offense.
