    Goodell granted a 21 day delay in answering response to Vilma' defamation lawsuit. Hmm seems like if he had the goods on Vilma he wouldn't need more time?

    Seems like that either Vilma will get the same response as both Payton, Loomis, and Vitt got. Or that Goodell will have a change of heart. Which the former more likely than the latter.

    On another note, what do you think the odds are that Vilma's alleged 10K pledge is documented in that ledger?

    That's a bad strategy if that's the case. The longer this drags out the worse the NFL (Goodell) are looking. If you have the evidence to suspend a player for an entire year dispense it quickly, giving the perception of, "Oh, you want the evidence? Why it is right here. Here ya go. See? We weren't lying." By delaying you are giving the perception of, "Evidence? Uh... wait while we manufacture something for you." As the adage goes, perception is everything.
