Arguably the greatest coach in NBA history....I don't know how many championships he has...but was able to obtain them with player like Jordan, Pipen, O'neal, Bryant...

I know its not going to happen...or at best the longest shot ever....but going to the Bobcats and making an impact there would/could turly stamp him as the greatest by rebuiding and elevating the "worst" NBA team in history.

If he didn't have serious health problems then he might be intrigued by the challenge.

Phil's probably reading Zen, smoking pot, and banging Jeanie Buss. He has no time for Charlotte.

you don't bring in phil jackson to take a crap team and make them better, you bring in phil jackson to take a talented team and make them champions.

the bobcats need a coach that's good at dealing with young players and getting them to buy into a system. they need a coaching staff that's going to teach fundamentals as much as anything. they need somebody to get the team winning over the next few years. after that, they can start looking at elite coaches.

Is Brian Shaw the best available candidate with those qualifications?

maybe. he's done pretty well as an assistant so he's either been lucky enough to catch on with great coaches or he can carry his weight. i know he really wants to be a head coach, but i think he's pretty savvy and won't just jump at something. there are guys that got their first big break with rebuilding projects and haven't been in coaching since. if you're serious about your career as a coach, you can't just blindly sign on with a crap franchise and hope it works out. of course, those guys prolly weren't great coaches either so maybe cream rises.

Is Jordan seriously considering Patrick Ewing? I would think not.
