doh. not lookin very good. should beat the 76ers still, but they gotta go thru boston (probably) and miami. ironically, i think the heat have the easier route to the conf finals.

Between Dwight Howard and now Derrick Rose, injuries are making it a lot easier for the Heat to come out of the East. No idea who will come out of the west (leaning towards OK City) but I think this will be the year LaBron gets his ring

yeah, i don't see who can stop the heat making the finals unless lebron disappears at some point.

from the west, the spurs have quietly been pretty impressive. kind of funny to see them play the other day. diaw started for them, stephen jackson came off the bench. also, don't overlook the lakers. they're more of a playoff oriented team, imo. brown is a crappy coach on the fly, but he is pretty good at constructing solid defenses. with the players they have on that team, simply letting them figure it out is probably sufficient. okc seem a bit immature to me still. i think they lack the poise needed to make it to the finals.

i dunno. with shumpert, they said he'd be out 6-8 months and his injury was much worse. i suspect rose could be ready by jan or so. maybe sooner, depending on his rehab. the question i would have is how much it affects his game. so much of his game revolves around his ability to get by guys and if he loses some of his explosiveness, he suddenly becomes just another shoot-first point guard.
