I can keep from having violent impulses if he leaves the 1sts and 2nds alone, but I'd just as soon keep our thirds too. Or, if you just are damned set to trade, try trading back every now and then.

He has tried it (Beason), he just doesn't make a habit of it.

not terribly unrealistic, and not meant insulting. I look at Hardy as a starter, he's just gotta get into his run fits and develop a little more.

Hardy: I don't think his motorcycle accident hurt him all that bad physically, but it slowed him down a lot and combined with minimal time in a new defense and no organized offseason work, just set him up to be playing catch up.

I see Hardy as a Greg White type of guy w Tampa a ways back. Can do a little bit of everything good, but will never be a great player. Will miss him if he's gone.

I like Hardy a lot. He's got to get a shit ton better though.

Hardy is an excellent backup DE, but shouldn't be starting.

Alexander just seems to me to fit the profile of guys that become pretty good starters, and everyone asks "where the fuck did he come from??"...the kind of dude that flys just far enough under the radar to be relatively obscure to the average fan, but has good size, good athletic ability, and production at a high level. To be honest, I was shocked he was B12 co-Def Player of the Year...usually guys like that are household names.

Of course, I'm also willing to admit that this is an emotionally driven hope, not a cold assessment of facts based on logic....
