think they're in the "Ron Rivera attitude" era

    some added nastiness..

to an extent they solidified Special teams.

    Love the Kuelchy pick.

a little surprised they didn't add some depth at OLB given what they suffered through last year with injuries

they have a Punter on the roster..

    solid, if unspectacular draft

all in all, we covered a lot of ground and added a lot of future contributors. Loved the pick at #40. And for better or worse, we're gonna see what a lot of these guys can do this year. Still worried about the DL and the secondary, but I also think year 2 will be a lot different than year 1 on the defensive side of the ball...in a good way. Initially, I'd say I'm pretty happy with this draft.

also, unless I missed it, and who the fuck knows as I wasn't exactly paying attention... but no DT's selected.. guess they were serious when they mentioned being satisfied with who they selected in 2011

Rivera seems pretty transparent. Last year, TE. Check.

Spoke of the DTs, as you said. Spoke of a desire for a LB, check. Wanted scatback (which I interpreted mostly as a desire to improve returns), check on that count.

I was thinking B+ coming into today, but I'd drop it to a B-. The first two picks appear to be solid long-term contributors. I don't like trading next season's third and it seems like other needs were more important at #104 than a punt returner.

Overall pretty solid. It wasn't sexy but I think we got some players that will stick around for a while.

NFLN gave it a B+ which is about right.

Good, solid draft. Not sexy, won't be talked about nationally but just a bunch of good players.
