    No of course not. How the hell would we (me especially) really know who's gonna become a good NFL player out of the 5th round anyhow? I'm kind of being a homer CCU type, I wish we'd have gone CB earlier myself.

    Eh, probably not. I don't hate him with the passion that you do, but I won't forgive his misgivings either. There have been several.

    He was a part of drafting Peppers over Harrington...he's hit on some low rounders. He's not a terrible guy when he doesn't get stupid and gamble. But he does, so....

    Fair enough though, that when I try to compare off the top of my head the great to the bad, it's very very hard to do.

    I'd like to see them sign a veteran, but I really expect them to stand pat. *sigh*



    And it must be said again that Hurney is by far the worst general manager in the NFL and possibly in professional sports. That is not hyperbole. From contracts to trades to draft choices, his history is abominable.

    Scouting reports of questionable character, but I couldn't find any "off-field" incidents other than what you're referring to. He does have several on-field incidents that are cause for concern, including fights and screaming at coaches.

    But he did make it to a SB unlike some other franchises that have been around alot longer, the wheels fell off about 2-3 years ago but were back on track.
