No more so than a 40-time or broad jump or bench press.... it's just a measurement.

I don't think it's a rock solid indicator, but a 4 is awful if that is true. You seriously wonder at that point if the guy can read and understand words. I've taken practice Wonderlics online stoned and drunk and still gotten a 25. :pot: :biggrina: I'm no uber-genius either by any stretch of the imagination. At a minimum it will take him a while to learn the position in the pros.

There's also one other possible factor for his low score. One that's worse (to me) than whether he can read or has some type of learning issue and that's the possibility that he scored so low because he didn't really try and doesn't care. Of those two evils? Give me the stupid kid. At least he gives a damn.

If I recall correctly, the Wonderlic is multiple choice with 4 options on each of the 50 questions...which means you would score something around a 12 just by taking random guesses. A 4 means he left a lot of questions unanswered. So he probably just froze up or stayed stuck on a question. No matter what, it's a sign of poor preparation by his agent.

"They say it's an IQ test. I came to the combine for football. I looked at the test, and wasn't any questions about football. I didn't see no point in the test. I'm not in school anymore. I didn't complete it. I only finished 15 or 18 questions."

"They say it's a play book. I came to Dallas for football. I looked at the book, and wasn't anything about football. It was just words and cross things and circle things. I didn't see no point in the book. I'm not in school anymore. I didn't read it. I only finished 15 or 18 pages."
