If we draft Brown do we get the whole band? What about Jimmy Buffet and Alan Jackson?

9.) Quinton Couples -DE- All around DE who fills a pretty big need.
40.) Josh Robinson -CB- Might be a slight reach but he has the athletic ability
104.) Taylor Thompson -TE- 4th round developmental TE
137.) Derek Wolfe -DT- Don't think he'll be here but good value if its the case
168.) Devon Wylie -WR- Slot guy who is white like Wes Welker. Good return man
201.) Drew Butler -P- We need a punter and he's a good one

? What does changing rankings have to do with who should be drafted where? Do teams just say "Shit, man we gotta draft Coples now "cause his ranking changed? Isnt there a reason guys that make these mocks dont have a job with an NFL team? How do you go from saying theres no defensive player worth #9 to picking Coples based on someone elses ratings?

1 OL Decastro if Kalil doesnt somehow fall into our laps-scoff all you want but if Minn doesnt pick him we have a chance at him. As for Decastro, G at 9 has never been done-in order for this team to get anywhere they have to think outside the box. Salary structures are completely different in the new CBA. Of the defensive players that people here want who is more dominant at his position than Decastro is at his?......Nobody. You change with the times or the times change you. Cam was outside the box, the offense we ran was outside the box. Just dont be surprised if they get smart and draft the best player and not worry that the old CBA ways of doing things say dont pick a G at 9.

40- I think here is where you get your defensive guy where the field is a whole lot more level. DT Taamu Washington

    104 keenan robinson LB

137- take a chance on CB josh norman coastal carolina

    Beyond that BPA-too many variables

Because we're doing this based on CBS's rankings, and back when the thread was created Coples was listed above 9. :smash:

Since I just noticed that Alfonzo Dennard fell from 37 to 57, I'll take him instead of Zack Brown at #40. That in turn frees me up to take Emmanuel Acho at #137.

What do you like so much about Dennard? I thought the Zach Brown pick was pretty damn good actually.

Brown is a fine prospect, but Dennard is equally appealing at a position of much bigger need. Carolina has to find a second starting corner either through the draft or in free agency.

McShay has David at 35 and Brown at 60
Rob Rang has David at 36 and Brown outside of top 50

    Jus' sayin'

I don't even have a clue who "Rob Rang" is, and McShay is an idiot. Lavonte David might or might not even be big enough to be a starting linebacker in the NFL, and he's already maxed out both in terms of his physique and his talent. Brown wasn't as proficient in college although still very effective in his own right, and he has far superior physical talent on a much bigger frame.
