Eh, the talking heads actually supported the Morrison pick before conveniently ignoring their own comments. For instance, Bill Simmons wrote before that draft how Michael Jordan was stupid and stubborn so he wouldn't do the obvious right thing in taking Morrison. People who comment on the decisions that other people make enjoy the fact that people forget words more readily than deeds.

But more importantly, the 2006 draft was just trash all around. Rudy Gay and Rajan Rondo are the only ones picked after 3rd who made any significant impact, and Rondo fell to 21. It's not like Jordan passed on an obvious star to take Morrison.

How do you not see that was a good move? Clearing bad contracts was and continues to be essential for the future of the franchise after doing idiotic things like taking on Nazr Mohammed's big contract. I mean, who would be stupid enough to say that taking on that contract was a good thing? Oh wait ... http://www.thisboardrocks.com/forum/showthread.php?p=2009839#post2009839

[IMG] They traded Jackson & Wallace because Jackson & Wallace were the only ones other teams wanted.

Biggest mistake made IMO was taking Augustine (sp) when you could have signed Felton and drafted Lopez

Meh, Felton keeps getting traded because he's not that good. Felton + Lopez would have been better, but it would just mean being 10th-12th in the East as opposed to 15th.
