No one had Gabbert as a first rounder at the end of the college season. It was only when Luck decided to stay that he suddenly rocketed up draft boards.

I think a lot will depend on Cleveland's pick. I am reading that they may take Tannehill. If that happens then we ought to get either Claiborne,or Couples. Assuming Cleveland does take him and that's an assumption how about
    Cleveland-Tannehill
    Tampa Bay- Richardson
    Rams- Blackmon
Jaguars- the one I don't know. They need receivers as well and I could see them taking Floyd who a lot of people see as very similar to Blackmon (NFL.com Cassell). If not Floyd then maybe they go D-line in Ingram or Couples
Miami- if Cleveland takes Tannehill then they could take whomever the Jags didn't take in Couple or Ingram
    Carolina- then takes Claiborne

    Hopefully

Since the Panthers don't have a 3rd round pick. IF they do trade down, might be nice to get a 3rd rnd or high 4th out of it.

But can the Panthers aford it? They are close to the cap now. FO better get busy and restructure some salaries, or cuts, or trades.

Would be nice, but I can't see any realistic scenario in which Claiborne falls to #9. Coples could.

If there's any kind of market for Stewart then I could really get behind trading him and taking Richardson at #9. That dude is a beast, and RBs are the most undervalued position by teams right now (although I guess that would hurt Stewart's trade value). Given the lack of great defensive options at #9, it seems like a legitimate choice especially considering his abilities as a receiver out of the backfield. I think it has a 0% chance of happening, but it's somewhat interesting to think about.

Strongly disagree. As good as Richardson is, that would be way too many picks and money sunk into one position. I'll admit, this would still be preferable to Dontari Poe, but I still would not be a fan.

Sure, it would be a great move if they hadn't given a huge contract to DW. But I'm just not seeing a lot of better options if Claiborne doesn't fall (he won't) and they don't like Coples or Reiff.
