    This is also true.

However, we paid Williams prior to seeing what Newton would bring to the team.

Did anyone really anticipate that kinda year he had. I loved the kid and im still blown away.

It certaintly makes sense, going forward, to trade him for what we can and sign another back to a more cap friendly deal. Assuming of course Stu demands equal or more than Williams and that an outsider presumably wouldnt.

Its funny, people say its not foxball, we dont need 2 premiere backs.

Damn right its not Foxball, its Rivera ball, we got 3, a QB and a damn TE.

I assume the older Cam gets the fewer carries he'll get. Tolbert is probably already a step in that direction.

As far as speculating about trading down, if things fall as they should, who will be the highest rated prospect out there at 9 that another team with a dire need might want to move up for?

Melvin Ingram? Does a 3-4 team like SD try to move up for him?
Riley Reiff? Is he good enough for a team in need of a T to move up?
Does a team fall in love with WR Floyd?

Hard to imagine any of that.

Maybe Cleveland is baiting us to drive up the price, but it's more likely confirmation of what we've been thinking, losing that coin flip sucked:

They need to stop being cunts and just take Blackmon. They already talked themselves out of drafting Julio Jones last year.

Sounds like we might have inquired what it would take and didnt like our offer.

Really that much of a difference between 8 and 9.

Only if they wanted Tannehill, right, as Miami could take him.

If Kalil got past Minn, i could see Marty calling the Browns.

But at what cost, would #9 and Stewert be enough, they need a RB, thro in a 2013, 2nd or 3rd?

Cleve could do alot, Richardson, Tannehill, Blackmon, trade down.

Doesnt help that Minny is in front of them, they're always good for some draft day goof ups.

Then you got Jax, whose draft history is stranger than strange. Reached for Alualu and Gabbert so who knows what they'll actually do

I was just opining about what they should do. Holmgren sounds truly pissed about not getting RG3, so maybe they will take Tannehill as a consultation prize and market him as their franchise QB.

Gabbert wasn't considered a reach by a lot of folks at the time. He was Mayock's top QB prospect last year. I'm pretty sure there were several others (such as Kiper) that agreed with that, but I'm too lazy to google it. I think most folks on this board wanted nothing to do with him though, because he looked like a 4 year old girl in the face of any kind of pass rush.
