That was a great game, maybe one of the best of the tourney until about mid way through the second half when UNC went brain dead on offense. Of course Kansas gave them plenty of chances but UNC couldn't capitalize. They had more than enough chances.

Would have been nice to make it to the Final Four. Marshall may have been able to go with another week of healing but even with him in there beating Ohio State and Kentucky would have been highly doubtful.

No Final Four, even with the injuries feels like a lost season.

    Fuck Creighton.

I was wondering if there was some way the ACC could fuck them over for being such dirty bitches, but the ACC doesn't play Creighton anyway so refusing to schedule them wouldn't make any difference.

Yep. Didn't even look like the same team w/ Marshall gone. Offense was pitiful in the second half.

To be honest, Barnes was a problem with the offense all season long. Just a huge black hole who would hog the ball and take ill-advised shots. I feel bad that Zeller & Henson had to go out that way since they deserved better. Henson in particular showed a lot of improvement on his offensive game, although I wish he'd stay another season and try to bulk up since he's still way too skinny for the NBA.

    From Insider regarding Barnes
For the better part of two years, North Carolina swingman Harrison Barnes has been considered a sure top five pick whenever he decides to enter the NBA.

That may no longer be the case.

ESPN's Chad Ford writes today that without Kendall Marshall in the lineup, a distributor with a knack for setting up teammates, Barnes looked very mediocre in his last two games against Ohio and Kansas.

Ugly phrases like "one-dimensional" are starting to be linked to Barnes on a regular basis. NBA teams haven't been completely scared away, Ford writes, but their impression of Barnes may be more of a role player and less of a franchise-type talent.

At this stage in the game, it's pretty hard for a top prospect to really do much damage to his stock. These are high-pressure games and no NBA scout is going to base an overall performance evaluation on one or two contests. With that said, Barnes' struggles this weekend without Marshall on the floor were alarming. He struggled to create any offense for himself, was often left taking off-balance jump shots and, with the exception of a hot streak toward the end of the first half versus Kansas, didn't look anything like the special player we all believed he could become. Barnes ended up going 8-for-30 from the field and, for the most part, it looked worse than the box score suggests. We've known for a while that Barnes struggles as a ball handler and can be one-dimensional, but without Marshall setting him up in the spots he wants to get to, he just isn't able to do too much.

With all of that said, a number of GMs still believe he can be a very effective weapon at the NBA level. His size and shooting ability for his position are good. Put him on the right team, with the right point guard, and don't ask him to be a superstar, and Barnes could still have a very effective NBA career. I don't think he's a franchise-changer, but if he continues to develop, Danny Granger or Luol Deng might be his upside. If he doesn't live up to his potential? Maybe he is the second coming of Martell Webster.

He's still a top pick. He'll get big $$$ upfront and then worry about actually having to perform. Best of luck to him.
