It'll get even crazier when Manning goes to IR in week 3, Denver fans start bitching about why Tebow was traded to Jacksonville, and Fox has sign Joey Harrington off the street to be the QB.

Elway said fox was in the room when manning called and had to jump up and down and fist pump quietly.

Yeah but that's partially on JR and Hurney for forcing the square peg in the round hole. Fox would have gotten another vet QB in here had he been given the chance. Probably would have finished better than last in the NFL if he had. That lame duck year was bull shit on Jr's part. I agree it was time for a change though. That's the nature of coaching though. Often the second stop for a head coach is golden because they learn what works and don't make similar mistakes.

I heard Mannings presser today on Sirius. He talked about "getting in there and learning the offense". Everyone assumes its going to be the 2003 Colt offense with Peyton calling the shots. I think its going to be Fox ball with a QB who can read a defense and check into the right play at the snap.

Maybe if they didn't have a complete retard as the OC. I agree that it won't be Indy West, but Manning will still control that offense.

He will be more involved in game planning than most Qbs yeah. He will also be given more leeway than any Fox QB since Delhome to check plays at the line. Given enough check downs any QB controls the offense. I think Peyton welcomes a kick ass run game.

I would keep Tebow as the back up. If Peyton goes down who out there could do any better? Give him a series or two to make the DC prepare for all that option shit, and keep the fans happy.

Fox is a good coach and we will likely regret getting rid of him. I read that one reason Peyton wanted to go to Denver was Fox. But, if they trade Tebow and Peyton goes back on IR it may get Fox and Elway both fired.
