    Thanks to a lousy coin toss we miss out on the possibility of the very few bluechip defensive players available in a weak class. The only bluechiper at 9 is very likely to be a G. I just do not understand why we would be stupid to take the only pro bowl caliber bluechipper left with our pick. Say there IS a trade down for an extra pick and we "settle" for a guy like Cox, Still, Kirkpatrick or Jenkins (all of whom would be completely unworthy of top 15 and unlikely of offering negligable impact) why would we be doing that? If it's just to add one more marginal guy like Schwartz it doesn't make that much sense . .. unless we need one more body more than we need to upgrade talent.

    Just not true. There will be many very good and great players left on the board. This is why the scouts do their thing...so that FO's don't have to act like fools like message board goons do. Like panicking when we have 9 instead of 8. Does it suck? Yes.

    But there will be MANY good players around lasting into rounds 2 and 3.

    We'll get a good player. Hopefully a starter.
