Brokers almost identical 10 split to Kris Jenkins ... but i don't think he comes close in quickness.

I think Brockers was 1.78 or something, Poe was 1.7

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that you never actually watched him play. It's no shame that you didn't, since who would watch Memphis voluntarily unless it was job-related. But there's a reason why Poe shooting up draft charts drives me bananas. I only had him going to the Steelers because they need an eventual Hampton replacement and there's a lack of beef in this draft.

I was responding to meatpile about Janoris.

Jenkins' strength wasn't raw explosiveness but rather the ability to use leverage and hand placement to create a gap and push through it. Brockers is sort of like that, but the reason I don't like him as DT is that he has long legs (which means a high center of gravity), lets his pads get high (common for tall guys with long legs), and isn't extraordinarily strong to the point that he can anchor and resist a double team. Brockers is going to be a penetrator.

What value does this shit bring to the board. I watch alot of football, i dont really care what teams are playing as i have no college allegance and just like watching a good ball game. Plus, Deangelo is a Memphis alum too.

We have a need at DT, Poe is a DT. You just said you had him going to the Steelers in round 1. We could always trade back since we dont seem to have a consensus pick for the #9 slot, plus, we have many needs.

If you want to say he's a better fit for a 3-4 like Upshaw fine, but please, stop going out on limbs.

Or just say you dont like him, you dont want him.

Wasn't trying to annoy you, just to point out that it didn't seem like you really knew anything at all about Poe except what he did at the combine. He is not a good player. He was not productive at Memphis and has a reputation for laziness. The reason I had him going to Pittsburgh at #24 in part because they could sit him and work on him as a project. He is tremendously gifted physically, but needs a lot of development and probably some veterans kicking his ass.

if that's what you want, then you should go with Jenkins.

kj seemed a lot better after his sleep apnea surgery. i wasn't as into all this as i am now, so i have no idea how good he was in college. i just remember that sleep apnea was a big deal for him, and it seemed like his explosiveness, and everything improved afterwards. everything but his diet. so, is it fair to compare these guys to jenks pre surgery?
