Thank goodness we have been saved from the virtually uncontrollable desire to tune in to WFNZ.....I will never darken the doorstep of that station again and frankly I am surprised they are still operating (or I assume they are because I am not tuning in to find out). With Mike & Mike, Colin Cowherd and Scott Van Pelt and their high quality guests I now am entertained most anytime I tune in during the day as I drive around. I liked Celania when he was working off of Gary Williams, but the boring and lazy Mark Packer is at the head of the class of talking heads I know I no longer have to even think about. I guess some of them are trying hard to be the best they can be (you can't say that for Packer), but talk radio is a tuff job and it is best left to professionals.

BTW...the fastest I have ever moved in my life is to change the channel when Johnny from Effingham showed up on Packer's show....

Agreed! The key word there is "entertained". Little or none of that goes on at WFNZ - usually just ignorant confrontations with callers.

Mark Packer hasn't been on FNZ in well over a year. :dunce:

I did hear him interviewed on 730 recently though....

730's signal sucks out here in Albemarle. Unfortuantely 610s picks up all too well.

This post kind of reminds me when the liberals still bring up W Bush in the news forum.

Have any of you guys noticed how many times Brett Jensen repeats himself? He is awful, especially when he does his show alone.

    lol

I've noticed that. It sounds like he does it to avoid dead air. Also, he abuses the word 'so', the phrase 'I don't know', and the ol' staple 'you know'. I literally heard him follow up a point with, "So, y'know, I don't know". I laffed.

I can no longer listen to him. I used to have his show on in my office for no reason other than to have some "noise" in the background. I can't even do that anymore.
