Whether people here think LB is a need or not, Rivera made comments in early January about needing a LB who could cover TEs, I think. So there's that.

LaFell stepped up, and Gettis should be fully healthy for next season. I'd love to add Blackmon, and I wouldn't pitch a fit if they got Kendall Wright after a trade down, but other than that I don't see the need.

There's always a ton of solid WLBs available in free agency. Like I said, I expect them to spend a late pick on LB, but I just don't see it in the 2nd round. Plus, as noted, cutting TD only saves the team 500k so his departure is actually fairly unlikely.

I'm pretty sure that one of Still (don't like), Worthy (like somewhat), or Cox (haven't seen him enough) will still be there. Plus add in Brandon Thompson who is a nice pass rusher but a little too freelance for my own tastes. The guy I really like is Marcus Forston. He'll definitely be there, and 40 might even be a little high for him, but he's a potentially elite DT with a serious injury history. All that said, I don't particularly expect the Panthers to select a DT at all, as much as I would like them to.

DE/DT, preferably. The defensive line needs considerable help.

Of course they'll get a draft in free agency. They could also add someone in the draft, but there's no question they'll be signing someone.

True, the savings are pretty insignificant for 2012, but if we gamble on an adequate recovery and pay him that option bonus AND he fails to get back to the field, the hit to cut him in 2013 will be over 10 million. Giving him a roster spot in 2013 would hit 8 ish. We need to take the half mill this year if only to avoid those numbers in 2013.

The rumor mill WRT Davis has been pretty consistently saying that he'll do a restructuring of some sort this offseason. Could be cut and resigned, or perhaps not cut at all and has his deal re-worked, but in any case he won't be playing on this current deal.

    Shut Up!

Collin and Pursy....I'm gonna say what everyone is thinking.

    Shut the fuck up!

Take it outside, punch it out, buy each other a beer and be done with it.

Otherwise lets talk some damn football!

No one gives a fuck what you think, so follow your own advice. I don't start shit with Purrsecutioner, he just follows me around the forums talking shit because he feels like I betrayed him for saying that he's a dumbass. Seriously, what did you think posting this was going to accomplish?

Simply to point out that both of your posts were distracting and annoying. Just let it go. Thats all.

Again, shut the fuck up. Not only are you not involved and therefore have no reason to post about it, but bringing it up on a page where people were engaging in valid discussion was completely idiotic and achieved exactly the opposite of your stated goal.

    Lol.

I don't feel betrayed. I stated that I was cool with you despite the fact you've officially driven me insane. Chalk a win up for you. You did it. You drove me fucking batshit insane with your drivel about Newton and some points w the defense and draft.

And Norminator...yeah....shut it already. Actual team needs were being discussed. I've posted and Collin's posted since our dispute. We're both grown men and can take what we dish out. Really, if you follow this board enough, there are disputes that last a long, long time. I'd say this was fairly small in comparison.
