I don`t see Walker as a starter unless he improves his shot, but then again that can be said about the whole team.

That's all tyson chandler is. 10/10guy who can't shoot. Besides chandler is nowhere even close to deserving the 13-14 mil he will earn the next 4 years.

I agree about Chandler, but to me very, very few of the players are worth what they are getting.

Shows you how much I keep up with the NBA......

They have had some pretty awful drafts though. Brook Lopez would be a much bigger help to us than DJ Augustin.

Plus Biyambo is the youngest player in the NBA. There's plenty of room to grow.

so all you need to land a guy that goes for 10/10 is a check for a few million. nazr mohamed was good for 7/5 in 16 minutes last year for charlotte.

do you enter the draft hoping to land a cheap replacement for a run-of-the-mill big man with your #7 pick? sure, 10/10 ain't cheap, but they aren't hard to find...

i would hope diopp would be a warning to this team about drafting people on potential. the cavs nabbed him #8 and now he's a turd sitting on the end of the bobcat's bench. of course, if kwame brown didn't send the message, i don't know what would.

If you look at the teams that contend regularly they all have a superstar or three on the team. The rest of thier roster is not very good. It is not like the NFL where you try to build a solid team. In the NBA it is superstars and a few role players.

I am not sure how we ever land one superstar much less two or three. If we are lucky enough to draft one he will leave as soon as he can.

if you're just looking at the teams that have won championships, then maybe. but there are a lot of teams that don't have superstar players that win games. who is the superstar on the sixers? who is the superstar in indiana? does denver have a superstar i'm not aware of?

the thing about being a superstar is that lots of guys have the same ability and the same stats but the ones that win the post season are looked at as being stars and the ones that don't are looked at as being stat stuffers. the point being, if you win in the playoffs your players are assumed to be better than other players. so yeah, it's kinda circular to say that teams that contend all have superstars...

if the championships last year are to be believed, a good team with solid players playing team ball beats a superstar trio rounded out with scrubs.

    Anybody suffering from "Linsanity"?

Well it looks like our "next head coach" had a role in developing him into the solid basketball player we see today.

"Then-Warriors coach Keith Smart urged Lin to not solely rely on his driving ability, fearing he’d get his shot blocked regularly. While he was with the Warriors, Lin worked daily with assistant coaches Stephen Silas and Lloyd Pierce on his shooting and midrange game."
