I've seen him play the last three years. He is a pure spread QB and a great athlete. Just the kind of QB for Fedora's system. Better legs than arm but he's a tough kid. A winner. Page was good this year but without him at QB they don't get past the second round. With him they steamrolled all the way to a state title.

Plus they stole him from the pack. With all the NCAA mess they are facing? That alone is worth bragging about

State also had a 4-star recruit that started two years at Colorado State transfer to NC State and we had a QB recruit enroll early. That gives State 5 QB's on the roster for the upcoming year(technically four eligible due to NCAA rules) so I imagine Summers saw the writing on the wall and did what he thought was best.

So losing Summers isn't all that bad given the current QB situation.

Pretty much. NCSU was probably only recruiting him in hopes of later converting him to another position.

Wonder why TOB was so mad and had that mini rant about the word "commitment?"

I'm guessing the guilt over leaving Boston College without finishing his contract is finally getting to him.

I don't see anything wrong with it. Maybe Davis should have learned and taught his players what that word means.

I honestly don't think he will stay at QB with Renner and Williams at UNC. At least TOB was honest with him instead of telling him what he wanted to hear.

I'm honestly not that upset over his commitment to UNC. TOB is the type of guy that once you tell him you're coming to State then that's what he expects.

I could also guess that TOB was pissed that he had a change of heart less than a week til signing day. That doesn't really give you a chance to get out there and find someone to fill the spot.

Wonder if he gave the same lecture to players that signed with NCST that were previously committed elsewhere?
