see, i would call that not being aggressive. but you also have to keep in mind that diaw is 6'8" and not tremendously athletic. it's not like he's going to back his man down and dunk on him. his only real post move is coming across the lane and putting up a running hook.

in regards to his pass to dj, was it a bad pass or did dj miss an open jumper? if dj is open, it's a pretty basic concept in basketball to throw the ball down low and then kick it out to open shooters if the big doesn't have a good look. usually it's predicated on the defense doubling the post player, but like i said, diaw would usually rather pass to an open player than shoot an open shot, must less shoot a semi contested shot. to me, that's simply not being aggressive.

D.J. was open enough to get the pass and get off a shot, although it missed badly. It also wasn't an inside out type play by any stretch, in fact if I recall correctly D.J. seemed a little suprised to get the ball. Diaw wasn't being doubled, and he had the advantage over the man guarding him. In other words, it was a situation where I'd expect a power forward to take a shot, not make a no look pass (and I really can't emphasize enough that he went out of his way to make a no look pass). The next time down the court was virtually the same situation, except he took and made the shot, which says to me that he could have done the same thing the time before but chose not to. The no look pass tells me that he was specifically thinking assist in that situation instead of making a play, or in this case even taking what the defense was giving him.

so he passed the ball to an open man instead of taking his own shot. that is pretty much what i mean -- he's not aggressive. he defers to others too often. when he gets good looks and takes them, i don't care if they're 3's, mid-range jumpers, running hooks, put backs, etc.

but i do think he's a solid playmaker. when he sets up at the high post and people are moving, he generally makes the right pass to a guy for good scoring opportunities. mullens, by contrast, looks really uncomfortable in that position. if he doesn't have a shot, he needs a guard to pretty much come get the ball from him.

    Draft Pick Debt

Draft picks are the grease when it comes to trades. They carry no actual value as to whether or not a trade works under CBA rules, but they are the sweet bits of chocolate that can coerce another team into saying yes. Some teams horde their picks, picking them up from other teams as much as possible. Other teams view draft picks as simply a means to an end, preferring to trade them for proven talents.

Here is a list of all future draft picks that have been traded. This broken down by year and round, with the team receiving the pick named followed by where the pick comes from detailed. Questions, comments, or think we missed one? Leave them in the comments below!

Things were lined up right for a win. The Bobcats had a team come into Charlotte on a 6 game losing streak and their coach under pressure.
Then it happens, Charlotte plays like it was their first time playing together and get blown out by 33 points. WTH?

They need to get as many minutes as they can for the younger guys they plan to build around. This is a throw away season so make the most out of it. Walker, Bismack, Henderson, Thomas and Mullens need to play a lot. Diaw and DJ not so much.
