always hate to see opponents get better, and 'losing' Van Gorder makes them better, and possibly with a direction. JDR is better served, for one, to sit around the house and collect that Jags money than anything else, and he's never suited me as the workaholic. But, if he were to go in somewhere, he'd be smarter to get under Payton, where the O has a few years and the D would be all his.

I will say this, if we currently had a defensive opening, JDR would be a guy I'd talk to, and actively pursue, but it wouldn't be his scheme.

 

Mike Nolan in, which was actually an OK hire for them unfortunately. What might be nice is if they spend a couple of years being shitty while they try to retool to a two-gap 3-4.
