    that's fine, the entire team played poorly compared to a greater opponent, but Tim Tebow gets his for his performance, too. Even just things he should know well - the option reads - he wasn't good at, last night. I've seen routine criticism of a portion of a QB's touchdowns being with the game "finished", as if they don't count, but does Tebow get a pass for doing realistically poor against a poor defense, even in trash time?

    I mean, it's not unrealistic to say he didn't play up to the level that was required last night.

    Tebow could use McDaniels. And there are plenty of bad coordinators in the NFL. Not the majority, but they do exist.

    Nonetheless, his last 4 games--the barometer by which I typically measure performance-- amounted to:

    * 1-3 record
    * 39% completions
    * 174.3 yards passing/game
    * 7.1 yards per pass attempt
    * 28.4 yards rushing/game
    * 3.6 yards per rush
    * 3 passing touchdowns
    * 2 rushing touchdowns

    The silver lining, other than Fox's watch/wedding band/hair, was Tebow's game management. Safe, smart--and was not turning the ball over. Again, in the last 4 games:

    * 4 interceptions
    * 4 fumbles, 3 fumbles lost

    Kudos for the 30 points he accounted for alone. That's not the bad part. And kudos for hitting the deep throws to Thomas and Royal vs. Pitt. That was outstanding.

    On the whole, I'd be reluctant to lean on him for the long-haul.

    Because he sucks.

    I'm not even worried about the leaning on him long term part. I don't think they have a choice, really. There's certainly an energy around the guy, and people want that. That sells and shit.

    and I'm not really that worried about debating the "pretend he sucks" argument. I've never thought that he can or can't be a pro QB. I'm discussing whether he's playing like a pro QB, and I just don't see that much evidence.

    But part of the "pretend he sucks" seems to have little to do with his play on the field, and the Christianity polarization, so I don't even know why we're bringing play into this.

    There's no agenda with me. That's what's refreshing. I don't hate Tebow, and I don't even hate most of the media. All I'm doing with my analysis of Tebow is pointing out the fact that he's a liability.

    For instance, if we must, let's take his entire 2011 season and look at completion %. There's no question completing more passes than you don't is pretty important. It's not the only thing that matters, but it does matter, and if anyone argues this point, I will send Purrsy over to your home to shit in your mouth.

    2011: 46.5%

    So, out of all "qualified" NFL QB's in this category (min. 14 passes/game, per NFL.com), would anyone like to guess the last time a quarterback finished a season with a lower completion percentage than Tim Tebow in 2011?

    Here's a hint: you only have to go back 11 years to find the answer.

    This will lead to another 20 pages of debate over what qualifies as "SUCK" :sleep1:

    Cool. Build around it. The energy is certainly there. He won a playoff game, in the clutch. He had his moments.

    But, he's one of the league's worst quarterbacks in an era where having competency at that position is critical.

    Fuck it. It's Sunday, and I'm happy the Saints and Falcons lost. Here's another hint:

    With all of last week's 3:16 fervor, maybe this week we should see some 13:6 action.

    Ezekial 13-6: They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The LORD saith: and the LORD hath not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word.

    But you've been bashing him since the very beginning and ignoring all the evidence that proves you wrong. It's not uncommon, since a lot of football fans make subjective judgments and stick with them regardless of what opposing evidence is out there. Saying he's "one of the league's worst quarterbacks" makes you look ridiculous, though, because it's so obviously untrue. Playing quarterback is about more than just completion percentage. It is not a coincidence that Denver started winning when Tebow took over, just as it wasn't a coincidence that Tennessee had a much better winning percentage with Vince Young than their other quarterbacks. That style is ugly, but it works.

    All that said, one thing that would legitimately concern me if I was a Broncos fan is that Tebow has looked very tentative in recent weeks. I understand avoiding turnovers, but there are times when receivers have some separation and yet Tim doesn't go to them. I don't know if coverage is confusing him or if he just feels overwhelmed, but the last few weeks he played much tighter.

    Shut the fuck up. WHen you constantly criticize a rookie who has arguably had the best rookie season in the history of this sport, you have no right to keep harping about how awesome Tebow is, you complete schmuck.

    And stop acting like McDaniels is a genius. He didn't do Bradford any favors, and he's been in the habit of being fired a lot lately.

    Skip Bayless is the one who should have immediately been put on suicide watch by halftime. Everyone at espn who has even thought about ripping into skippy is going to have at it this week.)
    Yes, Tebow has plenty of weaknesses as a passer and that was apparent enough last night. Billicheat implemented a solid D scheme to expose weaknesses and Tims tendencies. AND, as is usually the case Fox just stayed on his one-trick pony and didn't adjust worth a damn. .. on either side of the ball. I understand that a lot of the prob was simply being outmanned but Fox looked about as bad as Tebow
