I must've specifically missed the parts about football, and the parts where people who are good guys are considered better people than known sinners.

That's fine if you want him to represent the Christian faith, but I want neither politics nor religion in my football analysis. Tebow is not the first Christian football player, for what it's worth, and if we're rooting for the Christians and against everyone else, then, first off yikes, and second off you're going to spend a lot of time cheering for both teams at once.

 

I'm a Panthers fan so that's who I root for. The NFL is full of excellent role models and I wish the best to all players and coaches who give back and stand up for their beliefs. I support Michael Vick after he paid his debt and came back with a new outlook. Football is more than just X and Os and with today's intense coverage of players and coaches it is as important as ever for these guys to be positive influences.

 

Well. If you can explain the reasoning behind Philbin losing his son, then go for it, but I've decided not to try and comprehend these things, only accept them and move on.
