I liked John Fox as well, but Jeff Davidson? Our offense under him kept getting more and more putrid. With the Fox and Davidson combo I can't see Cam doing anything close to what he did under Rivera and Chud. I wish things would have worked out differently, but in a way I think the players need a change because the message gets old. I do wish John Fox the best and am happy for him and Tebow!

I get the idea Fox is going to be in Denver a long time and that we are going to look back on getting rid of him with regret.

At this point, I don't see it. We went from dead last in offense to fourth, and our defense was very similar to last year in ranking, and we had 4 starters on IR almost the whole year.

so there's an argument Fox should have been able to win with Clausen... whatever

Fox won a playoff game in he's first season after getting the shaft... he deserves it, I'm happy for him

Prior to yesterday Fox hadn't won a playoff game in 6 years (Chi, 1/16/06).

    Ugh. No way.
Fox had his chance here, and 3 winning seasons out of 9 didn't cut it.
He runs a 1936 offense, and he's far too conservative for today's brand of football. Sure, he's having a nice little storybook run with Tebow, and good for him. All that will net him is a beatdown next week, a high draft pick, and a QB controversy next year.

Seriously, would you trade teams with Denver right now ? Not a chance.

Seventh in overall offense, but yeah. Big improvement.

Jeff Davidson was garbage. I remember sadly being excited when he was hired, too.

Rankings of your offense and defense do not mean a lot. Fox got his team to the playoffs and won a game. Who knows he might do more. I do not put much blame on Fox for the way things went his last year here. They dumped most of his best players in the prior offseason and did nothing to restock the team.

For what it is worth though having Cam Newton in place of Jimmy Clausen was easily 90% of the reason our offense got so much better.
