    Except from Purrsy.

No offseason, he had very little to work with... I'm holding off.

Most guys out there today were scrubs. NO was going full tilt to break records and get the bye. Not a fair barometer. I think he's been doing a pretty good job since the Lions game with a lot of bad players.

Jason Shirley, DeMario Pressley, Frank Kearse, Eric Norwood, Jordan Senn, and some guy named Ogemdi Nwagbuo VS one of the greatest offenses ever.

We should have not only seen this before the game but we also should have expected it.

I didn't feel like there were many times when a bad scheme killed the defense, it was just awful execution.

that's because Rivera had a heavy hand in the defense... I think he sucks

I think we should fire Rivera & McDermott and make Chud the Head Coach and go get a new defensive staff

    fucking embarassment all season

ST's improved as the season went on... but still, can't excuse kicking to Hester and we need a Kicker

There was very little talent on defense. Charles Johnson is a beast, but not really elite, and Gamble is just above average. Who knows how Beason will be when he comes back and Hurney gave more money to Thomas Davis than Brandon Mebane got from the Seahawks. Carlos Rogers and Josh Wilson are two very good corners who signed for peanuts.

As much as Purr annoys everyone with his mindless ranting about McDermott, he's never once pointed out anything schematically where McDermott actually did a bad job. I'm not a fan of that style of defense and said so when he was hired, but I really don't feel like the play-calling on that side of the ball was a problem. Most of the players just sucked.

defense did lack talent... lacked experience... and the execution lacked... I think the talent is better then what they played though. I dont think the staff game planned well, made adjustments well, or got the players coached up as well as they could have been

the defense was pretty damn good last year... this year was a lot a mental laspes and being caught out of position to make the play when it counted
