Who knows what will happen? But you guys are sulking around like it's a sure thing he would go or be offered a job he wants. If he had a few more sucessful years as an OC-playoffs/good W-L record don't you think he'd get better, more lucrative offers? Who wants to go somewhere shitty when if they work at it and have success as a coordinator they could go to a better team and succede as a HC? A good front office could talk a guy like Chud into staying.

You're reaching. Only way he doesn't leave if offered, is for a dead end sure fire fail gig. A good opportunity, it's take care of the family time $$$.

Reaching? How is giving an alternate view reaching? Did Charlie Wiess and Romeo Crennel leave Billichick after one year? Did Jason Garrett leave Dallas? A lot of promising, widely popular coordinators don't leave quickly. If it makes you feel better to think he's as good as gone don't let me stand in your way.

Did they get offers after one year? When the Pats went 5-11. Or was that after they won Super Bowls? Which we haven't, btw. Besides, Crennel wasn't even on the Pats staff in 2000. Yes, I looked that up.

Not many guys turn down head coaching opportunities unless there's an understanding that they'll be getting one soon with their current team. The only exceptions I can think of are when some prominent coordinators turned down Al Davis because who the fuck wanted to work for him. If Chud gets offered a job, there's really nothing Richardson could do to persuade him to stay aside from paying him an absurd amount of money.

i could see whatever team takes rg3 taking chud, but that's about it, or philly. too tied to cams success for a team to risk he can do it w/ another qb repeatedly. he had that chance before. i think he'll have to prove it a few yrs, but stranger things have happened.

So do the panthers just go ahead and make him the assistant head coach and appropriate pay bump and keep fingers crossed?
