But those quotes do pretty much hit the mark. I said that Cam's best case was as a Josh Freeman-Vince Young hybrid, and that's more or less exactly what he looks like in what has been a dream season for him so far. Some people want to believe that I'm already wrong about him never being "elite" or "franchise," but they're mistaken, although I definitely could be wrong about that someday.

For a rookie, he's been great, although Andy Dalton has been just as good as a passer and with a less experienced cast. I don't see anyone rushing to declare Dalton "elite." Cam is 14th in QB rating, 18th in completion percentage, 9th in passing yards, 9th in yards per attempt, 12th in passing touchdowns, and 6th in interceptions. The people babbling about the Pro Bowl are wanting to pretend that he's already established himself at the level I said he would never reach, but that's obviously not true. Yet.

    edit:
Also interesting that the team's winning streak has come with putting less on Cam's shoulders. He hasn't had a 300+ pass yards game since Week 4, and over the last five games he's averaged 202.

This is kinda like when you said this was one of the worst draft classes in history n' shit.

Guys, Collin is like a career politician(which if he is I wouldn't be the least bit surprised). If you read any post of his carefully you'll see he never really says anything definatively. Thus, he can go from one end of the spectrum to the other seemlessly while he can tell you what he really said before and how it's the same now. He hedges his bets quite well. Point being, the more old posts you dig up where he "said" one thing the more he'll point out what he really said; you're on a fools errand.

There is no official stance on Cam. He just likes to toy with you idiots.

Congratulations on proving yourself clueless yet again. I was definitive in saying that Gabbert would be trash. I gave my opinions on best and worse case scenarios for Cam, and I still feel good about those. I also detailed his flaws, which should be obvious to most.

Yeah right, if Gabbert were lighting it up you'd be verbally fallating him and making the same revisionist remarks about best and worst case senerios.:50:

Except that I was clear about Gabbert and proven correct. You make yourself look ridiculous by saying that I'm not definitive, while also talking about how I bashed guys like Delhomme. I am definitive, and I'm almost always right. I get it, though. My knowledge intimidates you and therefore you think up ways to try and undermine how often I'm right.

That I was wrong about. The 2011 draft class has been far better than I ever expected.
