The Braves slide over on the couch and the Phils sit down.
Lets hope that Howard isn`t hurt too badly.

See ya later Ibanez, Lidge (FINALLY) and maybe Polanco and Oswalt.

Resign Hamels, get Dominic Browns head on straight and learn how to hit again

Ruptured Achilles Polanco and Pence battling with sports hernias, and Hamels to get elbow cleaned up. Fucking great way to end a season :freak:

Goodbye Brad Lidge and Roy Oswalt and seemingly hello to Jim Thome again. There's a good chance Oswalt comes back at a lower total, but Brad Lidge can sail off into the sunset. Thome is older than dirt but has always been one of my favorites. Platoon him with Mayberry at 1st until Howard come back. First order of business is resign Madson and extend Hamels

Sweet! J-Roll resigns with the Phillies. Thanks to the Cardinals for backing off and resigning Furcal. From what I read they were the main competition. Kind of like what the Phillies have done this off season Got some decent bench help in Thome (older than dirt I know), Nix and Ty Winningham (sp) and the left handed middle relief pitcher from Toronto. Not too sure what to make of the Dontrelle Willis signing. He holds lefties to batting .200 but seemingly has lost it. Looks like Kendrick is the new #5 with Worley sliding into the 4 spot. I REALLY hate to think this is it for Hamels in Philadelphia but it looks that way

IMO the Phillies are a better team this year than last year. They finally have some power coming off the bench so we won't have to see Gload/Valdez/Martinez (he just can't hit a lick) and company do their thing which was not supply the long ball.

Hamels, won't be going anywhere. First of all know one has any idea as to how Worley will pitch this year, (hopefully as good as last year) but the verdict is still out on him. I can not believe that the Phillies front office would trade Hamels. With Hamels you already have one of the premier lefty's in the game.

Worley and Blanton will be fighting it out to see who is 4 or 5. Hendrick will work out of the bullpen and will get the occasional start during the year, just like last year.

62 days and counting til Pitchers and Catchers report!

You can't possibly believe that, and it's definitely not true.
