Get started today. Some MAC, WAC, MWC, & Sun Belt teams get it started.

The last couple of weeks always remind me of how much I love college football, so I'm happy to watch even the "meaningless" bowls.

Yea, I did call about 34 of them "meaningless". We've already argued the validity of the current bowl system. I want a playoff after the season that has more than 2 teams in it, and you like the way things are. You like tradition, I like a little change. I like tradition too, but things have changed. In 1976, there were 12 bowl games with names that didn't have sponsors in the title. Rose, Cotton, Sugar, Orange, Peach, etc., etc. I liked it back then. Now, we have 35 bowl games, all with sponsor names like Famous Idaho Potato ?, Belk?, Beef O'Bradys ?, Little Caesar?, a credit union, and etc, etc. It's gotten ridiculous. We have teams with losing records, even records, bowls where both coaches have been fired, etc, getting bowl invitations. We have 8 or more teams from 1 conference going to a bowl. That's too many. Time, and money, have dumbed down and numbed the current state of after-season bowl games. Only 1 game right now has any true meaning in a championship sense of things, and that's the BCS game. Yea, I'll watch bits and pieces of alot of these games, cause they're on, and I'll pull for all the ACC teams, but when they're over, the results will be quickly forgotten.

Was that wall of text supposed to mean something? Just in the two weeks since the conference championship games, I really missed college football. No one gives a shit if you don't want to watch these games, but it was fun to see Ohio come back over Utah State to get their first bowl win, and then to see Louisiana Lafayette beat San Diego State on a last second field goal.

Just think thou. If we had a 8 team playoff, we could get real excited about 3 more weekends, and 7 more "championship" type games. (instead of the 1 BCS game we have to wait for at the end of this very long, crowded, bowl schedule)

Except for the fact that it would completely undermine the excitement and importance of the regular season. Look, you've been educated so you know that a playoff is a shitty idea. If you want it anyway, fine, but don't pretend like you don't know that it's a shitty idea.
