Diop is not going to do anything positive for the team. The fact that they continue to look to him be a starting center is evidence that they are not trying to win. If they could not bring Brown back then they should have found someone else. I understand not overspending but at least put a team on the court that has a chance to compete.

brown just signed with GS yesterday. Sorry they couldn't sign a starting center in less than 24 hours. They have never "continued" to look at diop as a starter,or even once thought of him as a starter.

since you have all the answers, tell us what the bobcats should do this year. give me real names and not some bs "sign dwight howard and chris paul".

They probably should have paid whatever it took to keep Brown. Not that he is all that good but he is much better than having no one at center. I saw an article where Silas said they were going to go small and play Diaw at center. That guarantees they will not be competitive.

I do not have all the answers but it is hard to root for a team that does not appear to be trying to get better.

after the moves they made last season i thought it was pretty clear they weren't trying to compete for the foreseeable future.

Total wins for the Bobcats this year ? 13 or so ?
They have no chance AT ALL to win for the next 5 years (and that's a best case scenario, getting lucky over a few lotteries).
Seriously, why would anyone pay to watch any of their games ?

It's like going to a Pittsburgh Pirates game..utterly useless.

There are different levels of competing. They were clearly not going to be a playoff team but I was hoping for something better than door mat.

They did sign a guard today who sounds like has some potential. Reggie Williams formerly with Golden State. It does not solve the glaring hole at center though.

Really their only chance as a small market team is hopefully that Walker turns into a stud and they get a top player in next years draft. If BOTH of these things don't happen there is no chance.
