I didn't expect the team to be so soft. Bummer.

I would hope that ol' Roy has enough sense to not "run them 'til they puke" with a couple of big games coming up.

Yea, UNC's offense is geared to get the other team in foul trouble & go to the line 3-fold over the competition. They have to hit foul shots to be successful. Also, the formula for beating UNC over the last few years is to hit a high percentage of threes, which UNLV certainly did.

Free throws don't get you on SportCenter. Well, unless one is missed that maybe could of won the game. That mentality starts way before college.

I don't have any facts to support it, but in general it's gotten worse over the years overall in the major programs. I honestly don't know how the basics aren't focused on regardless of what these kids have done in the past, and that seems to be perception by many. Of course I don't know if that's true or not.

I mean FFS, I couldn't play basketball worth a shit, but I hit over 80% of my FTs, of course it was rec league with maybe 50 people watching.

I guess it stems from players not taking the time to practice FT shooting and not concentrating on that aspect of the game. I mean, you think Shaq ever really cared he couldn't shoot free throws? lol

Nope, all he cared about was being an icon.

Yeah, it's a big difference. Supposedly Shaq actually practiced free throws a lot and was pretty good at them in the gym.

Who are the "automatic" free-throw shooters in the ACC now? I can't think of any.
