okie lite will need some serious help. Alabama will have to lose. Va tech lose Stanford lose and okie lite will need to beat the wheels off Okla. Cant imagine the coaches voting them over any of those teams unless they lose. Coaches voted them down to 6 for a reason. No big 12 championship kills osu. They win that and no doubt they play mnc.

What does everyone think of LSU going to mnc even if they lose to uga in seccg? Im fine with that (this year)

This would be a great year for a +1.

If beating Oklahoma moves Oklahoma State up to #3 in the Harris & USA Today polls behind Alabama, that could be enough for them to pass Alabama in the BCS standings due to OSU's superior computer ranking. Frankly, they should already be at least #3 in both polls. Putting them behind Arkansas, Stanford, and Virginia Tech is ridiculous because OSU has played a much tougher schedule.

Yeah, there's really no doubt that they would still get a spot.

Not really since there's more than three one loss teams.

Arkansas got exposed. LSU looks pretty damned unbeatable.

A playoff system needs to be established. Plain. Simple.

I hope you're trolling, but I have a feeling that you're serious. It's partially amusing and partially infuriating to be me that playoff proponents are so intellectually limited that they can't even understand how this season is a perfect illustration of why a playoff is ridiculous. This college football regular season was hugely exciting and important, which it wouldn't be with a playoff. It also definitively produced the "best team," and so LSU really should be crowned the national champion even if they happened to lose their bowl game. Winning one or two games in late December / early January shouldn't matter more than the rest of the season.

LSU has beaten Oregon, Mississippi State, West Virginia, Kentucky, Florida, Tennessee, Auburn, Alabama, Western Kentucky, Mississippi, and now Arkansas. No more proof is required. They've shown on the field that they're the best team in college football this season. The last game should just be for fun, since this year it isn't required to determine the "best team." We already know who that is.

From a fan's POV, something like an 8 team playoff would interest the hell out of me. Not because it's "fair" or "right", though. It was neat seeing the Cardinals get to a Super Bowl even though they had no business representing the NFC.
