As I said, I'm not absolving JR completely, but it's still obviously Hurney who is fucking up.

So what does it take for Hurney to reach thin ice/hot seat status?

The only thing I can see that would keep him off of it as of three or four years back is that he's doing what JR tells him.

It's been puzzling me for years now.

Purrsy, that was an awesome post. Same here. I can't "not give a shit". I can't turn away.

I waste some of the most beautiful Fall days getting miserable in front of my TV....while my buddy goes and sits in my deer stand and kills the buck I fucking scouted, or my other buddies go to the Lake "one last time"....and rather than doing shit I love, I am in my living room getting a fucking root canal with no anesthesia.

The thing that really pushed me to believe his involvement is more than what Collin believes is the reports back when JR retired from Flagstar in 1995. Most reports strongly implied he was retiring to have more time to play with his new toy.

Yeah, I live right on a saltwater inlet and have either just not gone fishing or come in from catching to watch every game. And complained about it 7 times this year so far. I doubt I'll stop watching.

PaulPaladin and strat- Lol, true. It's like I said....I can't stop watching. I sure wish I could, though. It is what it is.

Yeah, there is a certain relief when football season is over during these kinds of years. You miss the games, going to them, watching them at home w the friends and family, the whole deal. But then, you realize Sundays are free again. Free to go outside, enjoy the weather, enjoy doing things...and not have to suffer watching a bad team that you love. Ha. It's all pretty fucking absurd when you think about it.

shrapnel- I kind of agree with you. Sad, huh.

piper- I do look at HUrney, trust me. I'm not crazy about him. I just think that with this offense, it's not the same team we had last year. It's just not. The addition of Cam alone, and the TEs, have shifted what we do. We are a good offense with a good engine. We score a lot, with the exception of last week. We should be winning a lot of these games we're losing, and ultimately, the coaches are tasked with doing that. See, while I dislike much of what Hurney does, I don't think we're a largely untalented team. Deep no, but not devoid of talent by any stretch.

Yes, injuries have hurt us, no question. But we're not nearly as good as I believe we can be. I don't think Hurney is awful....but I don't think he is close to good enough, either.

Collin- Wish I could fix it. I'm wired that way. Can't see how that can change.

Hurney should have been axed with Fox so a new GM can look at things with fresh eyes so he can see how fucked up the team really is.

But i guess that couldnt happen as moves were presumably made during the lame duck year behind the scenes.

Instead he gets a free pass and time to cover up his mistakes and we as fans endure the same old problems.\

    Pursy:

Ive been able to disconnect my anger during game time for the rest of the day. But my GF thinks im batshit screaming at the TV. She tells me to calm down and im like. Chill baby, i know its a game and this team is gonna need a couple years to fix this shitty D. Its part of being a fan, the highs and lows during those 3 hours.

The only positive things are Cam and Miami suck just as bad with Matt Moore leading them (my GFs from Florida)

Can't I just get you to help me the way you helped others with their personal lives here?
