Actually I think people have just been saying that the extra five yards would help, possibly to the point that he would be acceptable for kickoffs.

Moot, but yeah, in theory you could consistently pin someone inside the 20 with the new rules if the kicker gets enough hang time. I agree that it wouldn't be realistic for the Panthers, but I do wonder why some other teams haven't tried it.

Whatever. The last time he kicked off regularly he averaged 60.5 yards per kick (in 2007). That is not acceptable, especially with our shitty KO Cover team.

Actually what you said was that "Kasay would be dropping the ball at the goalline and they would be returning it to the 35 or 40 consistently." That's obviously fucking retarded, so just stop posting on the subject.

Oh jesus fucking christ. let's argue over stupid shit that doesnt matter.

Kasay can't kick off anymore. You know. I know it. He was a great Panther and I am appreciative of what he means to the city and organization. But the 5 yards doesn't help him. 60 yards on a kick off...do the math. Is that what you want with our coverage unit?

Who knows what would have happened in overtime but Mare's miss against Minnesota kept us from finding out. Kasay almost certainly nails that field goal and gives us a chance to win the game.

Our special teams play could not be much worse. Mare's kickoff advantage over Kasay has not helped much.

Kasay would nail the chip shot but hed kick it out of bounds in overtime.

    :beatdeadhorse5:

Im fine with moving on from Kasay, what we didnt do is reinvest in a qualilty place kicker.

The whole thing is just weird. They cried over Jake Delhomme, but didn't even give Kasay a heads up that they were replacing him?
