Rivera is too dull to win on the road. I miss John Fox and his gangster ways.

All I want is some passion at some point and a few challenge flags. He doesn't have to turn into Bill Scowler or Rex Ryan.

Oh god, not PASSION!!! again. [IMG]

I actually thought the defense played pretty dog gone well. Obviously they had problems with Turner, but that was to be expected. Plus, 76 of his rushing yards came in the last 17:17 of the game, so I think it's fair to say that the defense wore down. I liked the scheme and I thought the players stepped up when it counted in the red zone. Ryan made some great throws to beat pretty good coverage.

The real problems were on offense. Even though the overall rushing numbers looked good, that was deceiving. 50 came from Cam, and if you take away the two long runs from the backs then they only averaged 3.6 per carry. It's a little surprising to see that Carolina converted 75% of their third downs when it felt like the offense was struggling most of the game.

    edit:
As for Rivera's passion, he was cussing into his headset like a sailor when they burned that timeout to get the 12th guy off of the field on Atlanta's field goal attempt.

    edit2:
Also, it's pretty funny to see people whining about the defense given that it had exactly the same rank in yards allowed (18th) and points allowed (26th) last season.

Tough to win with what the Panthers are putting on the field on defense. They have a shot at beating the Foreskins next week

Funny to see everyone panic over the lack of ability to beat the Falcons. Now the coach sucks, the defense sucks, Cam sucks.

We do hate the Falcons don't we?

Yeah it's kind of like if Clemson goes undefeated and USC beats them everyone will be calling for Dabo's head.

The problem is the team has lost 5 games.

The problem is not Ron Rivera not being a poser for the cameras. Need I provide you a list of #winning coaches with fairly dull personalities?
