    That's what I hate about sports sites. Something gets reported as if it's fact, even if it has no basis in reality.

    Good, Im glad we're not interested. Just doesn't make sense right now.

    We might win 4 or 5 games this year so our draft picks are worth quite a bit more than a 30yr old WR. Wait until the ofseason to add pieces, maybe Clausen can fetch us a 5th rounder or something.

    the fact that hurney is against it makes me believe even more it's a good move...

    if denver was asking for a 1st, hurney would be all over it

    On if the Panthers will make any trades before the NFL's trade deadline on Tuesday: We are not talking to anybody about any trades. As of right now, we have no intention. We like our situation, our circumstances, our guys. All this stuff (about Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Lloyd) breaks last night, and then I hear it all morning. You hear guys ask. I want to make sure people understand.

    NFL.com throws out this trade scenerio.

    Denver trades Kyle Orton to Miami for a draft pick, which the Broncos then package along with Brandon Lloyd in a deal with Carolina for Jimmy Clausen.

    The Broncos named Tim Tebow their starter this week, but this move would give them two young QBs to develop and let the best one win. Coach John Fox drafted Clausen, who started 10 games as a rookie, when he was at Carolina.

    Meanwhile, the Dolphins get the quarterback they wanted before the season and the Panthers get help at receiver to give Cam Newton another target to go opposite Steve Smith.

    Lloyd and a pick for Jimmy Clausen? I'd be on that white on rice :jumprope:

    That's a ridiculous trade scenario! shit, I could come up with a more realistic one: LaFell for Lloyd straight up
