I haven't seen all of their games - but he's averaging 2 tackles per game and has one sack.

Yeah, that's the frustrating part. As impressive as Cam has been so far, there are a ton of good young quarterbacks, whereas the crop of DTs looks like shit.

yeah, its true, but with QB's, a bird in the hand is better than two in the bush. I honestly preferred Dareus on draft day, but in hindsight, I like the Newton pick because (1) a QB can completely turn around a franchise, and (2) Newton wanted to be the first pick, I mean he really wanted it. And not just the #1 pick, but he wants the pressure. That, above all else, is why i like his chances to succeed in this league.

He missed on a lot of 2nd rounders, though. From '02 - present:

    Deshaun Foster
    Bruce Nelson
    Keary Colbert
    Eric Shelton
    Richard Marshall
    Dwayne Jarrett
    Ryan Kalil
    Everette Brown
    Sherrod Martin
    Jimmy Clausen
(2010 2nd rounder traded to NE)

There are 4 players that ended up being starters for us in that group. To put it into perspective, consider our 2nd rounders from '95 - '01:

    Shawn King
    Moose
    Mike Minter
    Chris Terry
    Mike Rucker
    Deon Grant
    Kris Jenkins

The only bust in this group was King, the rest were multiple year starters at worst, pro bowlers at best.

Good point, but he doesn't miss in the 1st that often.
