    No basically TOB told him that if he didn't quit baseball, Glennon would be named starter. Why should Wilson return to a team in which he had no chance to compete for the starting job. Especially when he was already the most talent person on the team.

    TOB gave Wilson a choice. Wilson made it. Worked out well for Wilson.

    Tom O'Brein isn't a moron. Had Wilson come back, he would have started at quarterback. He knew it...TOB knew it...and everybody on that team knew it. Wilson isn't at State because Wilson doesn't want to be at State, it's as simple as that.

    That's not what TOB told Wilson though. Regardless of whether right or wrong on how he handled this with Wilson, it's come back to bite him on the ass.

    Maybe, but it seemed pretty obvious that Wilson wasn't coming back to N.C. State this year. He made that pretty clear last year. I just don't see that O'Brien had any choice but to handle it the way he did.

    If he had hit .290 or .300 + for the Asheville Tourists, maybe moved up to AA ball this summer, and showed a solid future in baseball ........all this football stuff may have been a mute point.

    I never did understand his baseball potential; he never cracked the regular lineup on the diamond at NCSU as an everyday starter.

    From what I heard that wasn't the case, and I am sure there are stories from both sides of the fence that will support TOB and/or Wilson's claims. For what it's worth I have seen conflicting information as well. The thing is TOB is the adult here, leader of that program, it's his job to figure this out. Wilson wanted to play baseball in the off season, Wilson wasn't TOB choice for QB, he in fact really didn't want him there, but Wilson was by far the best choice. It's not really whether Wilson was getting away with something or not, but now look at the situation the program now has to deal with. Recruiting hasn't been something that TOB was good at doing, but it now just got a lot damn harder for him.

    I am sure the truth is some where in the middle, but TOB is still there while Wilson is gone, so who does the affect more. I know one damn thing, I sure wish Wilson somehow made it to SC in place of that idiot Garcia.
